Head Covering
by Stacy

Heero watched out of the corner of his eye as Duo stretched, arching his back and groaning in appreciation. He shifted in his seat as the material stretched tight across Duo's chest and stomach; Heero swore he could see the arch of the other man's ribcage. His libido kindly supplied him with an enticing image of the bare skin underneath the suit. Heero stifled a groan of his own and settled his helmet more securely in his lap. Why the hell, he thought, did Duo have to suit-up in the main area of the bunkroom?

"Doing OK? You look a little pale." Duo's voice interrupted his slow burn. He had paused in mid stretch and was giving Heero a worried look, one arm still stretched over is head. Heero licked his lips.

"I'm fine." Heero said. He jerked his attention back to the viewscreen in front of him. Don't look, he instructed his eyes. Don't look, don't look, don't look. He looked and his mouth promptly went dry as a bone. Bone! Heero hunched over in his seat, curling over his helmet.

"Are you sure?" Duo asked, dropping his arms. He was the picture of concern. "I could hold your helmet while you run to the head."

"No!" Heero said, the word coming out as a strangled cough. He hugged his helmet a little closer. "I'm fine. Really."

"Really?" Duo asked dubiously. "You seem a little stiff."

Stiff! Heero throttled down a hysterical laugh. His libido suggested asking Duo for a massage, you know, work out the kinks. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

"Really." If he didn't know better, he'd swear he'd just whimpered.

"Well, OK." Duo replied, sitting back. "But if you need anything, let me know. You should try to relax." He added and Heero swore the other man was smirking. "It's a long ride and you're so tense, it's like you're standing at attention."

Heero twitched, but didn't respond. He busied himself flicking random switches as a cover for ogling Duo. He found himself fascinated by the way the material moved on Duo's forearms. Duo's well-muscled, exquisitely defined forearms. Damnit, thought, why did the flight suit have to be so clingy? And since when did his libido have access to a thesaurus?

Eventually, he admonished his nether regions, I'm going to have to put this helmet on. His nether regions seemed totally unconcerned, other than a mild complaint about the cramped surroundings.

The sound of a harness being unbuckled effectively ended his internal lecture to various parts of his anatomy and psyche.

"I'm going to head to the back for a snack." Duo had that innocent look on his face that meant he was up to something and Heero narrowed his eyes. "I don't know if I should, though. I don't want to gain any weight. Whaddya think, Heero?" He looked at down, then twisted his neck to took over his shoulder. "I'm not getting, well, chubby, am I?"

Heero could feel his ears heat up; he wondered what the flash point for human skin was. He had to be getting close.

Duo gave him the once-over, settling his gaze significantly on Heero's helmet. "Well, at least I'm not the only one with a weight problem."

Heero looked up at Duo in astonishment and his partner gave him a broad wink. Before he could react, Duo knocked the helmet out of his hands with a deft flick of his wrist. He grinned down at Heero before pushing off the back of Heero's seat towards the back of the shuttle. His laughter echoed down the corridor.

"Busted, Yuy!"
